Haiti - Politic : Inauguration of Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant
Yesterday Monday took place the inauguration ceremony of the Prime Minister of the Republic, Jean-Henry Céant at the National Palace. On this occasion Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant, and the Ministers of the Céant Government have received their ampliation from the hands of the new Prime Minister and of President of the Republic Jovenel Moses, they are :

Jean Claudy Pierre, Minister of Planning and External Cooperation;
Bocchit Edmond, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cults;
Ronald December, Minister of Economy and Finance;
Jobert C. Angrand, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development;
Fritz Caillot, Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications;
Ronell Gilles, Minister of Commerce and Industry;
Marie Christine Stephenson, Minister of Tourism;
Jean Roudy Aly, Minister of Justice and Public Security;
Mamatha Irène Ternier, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad;
Jean Marie Reynaldo Brunet, Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities;
Pierre Agénor Cadet, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training;
Marie Elise Brisson Gelin, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor;
Marie Greta Roy Clément, Minister of Public Health and Population;
Evelyne Sainvil, Minister for the Status of Women and Women's Rights;

The new Prime Minister said during his speech "I am fully aware of the honor that has been made to me, but especially the heavy task that awaits my team [...] the Nation must also thank the Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant who accompanied the implementation of the vision of change of the President of the Republic [...]

It is with a great deal of humility but with unwavering determination that I am about to assume my duties in a particularly difficult situation [...]

[after many consultations] I was able to take the urgency to act quickly, to convince quickly, to rebuild hope...

In the functioning of the State we will observe a meticulous fairness vis-à-vis the agents and the users so that each citizen receives what he deserves [...]

The promotion of good governance and the fight against corruption and unfair smuggling will be cardinal values for my entire government.

[...] I therefore reiterate the commitment to act decisively so that the institutions concerned hear the cry of citizens who demand justice in the Petro Caribe case [...]"
