Ministry books two stores in Jahra for law violations

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: The Jahra Emergency Team, operating under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has flagged two commercial stores for regulatory violations. The violations were detected during routine inspections aimed at ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws.

The first violation pertained to a store’s failure to display a sign indicating the return and exchange period as mandated by law, thus potentially infringing on consumer rights. The absence of such signage deprives consumers of crucial information regarding their rights and obligations when making purchases.

In a separate instance, the team recorded a violation against another commercial establishment for its failure to display warning signs for energy drinks. This omission raises concerns regarding public health and safety, as proper labeling is essential for consumers to make informed decisions about their consumption of such products.
