A member of the Zanu PF Women’s League has been fingered in an alleged plot to kill controversial Buhera South MP Joseph Chinotimba.

There are serious intraparty battles in Buhera South Constituency ahead of the primary elections.

Garikai Muzerengwa a Zanu PF official in the area last week claimed one Kerenia Uta, a member of the ruling party Women’ s League, was given US $ 7000 by some Americans to kill Chinotimba.

Muzerengwa told the court when he appeared before Magistrate Denis Mangosi, he insulted Uta because she was involved in a plot to kill Chinotimba.

Uta filed a police report alleging Muzerengwa had insulted her using unprintable words.

On the other hand Muzerengwa insisted Uta was working with counter revolutionary elements to eliminate Chinotimba.

Trial will continue next week.
